Tucked away in the streets of the Gabba is a haven of delicious food and craft beers. From the owners of Habitat Brisbane, Moose & Gibson is a venue with a truly unique identity. Their location makes for the perfect post sporting meal, with ample street park and a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a few beers with the lads.
We got to try out their new breakfast this morning and were left with nothing but wonderful things to say about the Cafe. Their new ‘All Day Breakfast’ menu perfectly entwines with the lunch menu (starting at 11:30am), offering a range of options from hearty dishes to humble yogurt and fruit. After a massive weekend of indulging, I decided to order the Breakfast Burrito. Served with house made beans, scrambled eggs, chipotle sauce, rocket and a well displayed avocado, this dish would only set you back a mere $15.90. The serving size was very generous, I didn’t end up finishing mine, which is a huge deal for me. The burrito itself is gluten free and works well with the flavoursome beans which are balanced by the fresh avocado..yum!!!
Some of the other popular options on the menu include:
Chilled Tapioca Pudding with cinnamon dusted grilled pineapple and fresh berries – $13.40
Baked Potted Eggs two free range eggs baked with a rich herb tomato sauce, locally made chorizo, olive tapenade and baby spinach served with toasted Turkish bread and blood plum balsamic -$18.90
Waffles with chocolate chilli sauce and coconut ice cream topped with toasted slivered Almonds – $17.90
Speck and Chive rosti’s with chorizo, wilted spinach, fried egg and a corn and black bean salsa – $16.50
