The Pineapple Hotel has been around for quite some time (152 years!) and sure knows how to throw an Australia day Party!
On January 26 the venue will be alive with live music, Triple J Hottest 100, plenty of beer and most importantly – pineapples! The Australia day pineapple toss is a popular and much loved event by Brisbane locals and has now been running for a decade. A prize of $750 will be rewarded to both the male and female who throws their fruit the furthest.
There is an entry fee of $5 for the competition with all proceeds going to the Princess Alexandra Research Foundation.
Australia day wouldn’t be complete without some bloody good tucker so both of the hotels kitchen will be open all day serving up their delicious grub. Don’t miss out on this one of a kind Australia day event – the Pineapple is the place to be!
