Maccas is in the process of relaunching their Lamb & Feta and Chicken Caesar McWraps which are made with fresh Australian produce. Here are few facts that we found interesting:
McDonald’s Cos lettuce, red onions, tomatoes and Telegraph cucumbers are all locally grown for McDonald’s by Australian Farmers across the country:
- Cos lettuce are sourced from Toowoomba QLD, Haay NSW, Bairnsdale VIC, Werribee VIC, Waterloo SA and Gin Gin WA.
- Red Onions are sourced from Kalbar QLD, Devonport TAS, and Penola SA.
- Tomatoes are sourced from Bowen QLD, Bundaberg QLD, Virginia SA, and Carnarvon WA.
- Telegraph cucumbers are sourced from Bundaberg QLD, Virginia SA, and Perth WA.
The Caesar Salad is made with 100% Aussie grilled or crispy chicken breast, parmesan flakes, rasher bacon and fresh lettuce, topped with creamy caesar dressing and all wrapped in a steamed tortilla.
The Lamb Kofta is made with 100% Aussie lamb that’s seasoned with cumin and oregano then grilled to perfection and wrapped in a steamed tortilla with crumbled fetta, fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion and creamy garlic aioli.
Guilt free, fast food that helps our local farmers…Don’t mind if I do.
